UX & UI designer and digital creative
I am a UX/UI Designer with a background in Fashion Design.
I am originally from SW London and have recently crossed over the dark side and I am now based in Hackney.
I worked in fashion, womenswear design, up until 2021. Every decision was centred around the final customer so I was really drawn to the user centric and creative problem solving approach within UX/UI design. The focus UX places on research into users experience, needs and behaviour and the translation into tangible insights really appealed to me.
In 2021 after moving to Berlin I completed an immersive UX design course over four months with General Assembly. After graduating I began working as a freelance UX/UI designer before joining London based design agency Make it Clear.
I worked with Make it Clear for a year as a contractor working remotely from Berlin. My main client was Cambridge University Press & Assessment. I worked on several projects with them, most of which were centred around building a style guide and component library to support their migration to a new content management system. It was a great experience to work with a global organisation with such an extensive range of digital products and complex requirements.
While at Make it Clear I was the digital accessibility champion and supported in taking personal study time which I used to learn about digital accessibility and the crucial role that UX designers have. Throughout the year I attended workshops, webinars and completed the W3Cx: Introduction to Web Accessibility course.
In January 2024 I moved back to London and joined Continental Clothing,a UK based B2B ethical and sustainable merch supplier that has been revolutionising the industry for the better for the last 25 years. As their first UX/UI Designer I have worked with the marketing, sales team and key stake holders researching their customer and developing a company re-direction and refresh which includes redesigning their websites and working across all digital outputs and design assets to pave the way for a new era of the company.
